SHOT Show 2020

So, after trying (and failing) to obtain media credentials to attend SHOT Show® 2019, I once again applied in the fall of 2019 for SHOT Show® 2020.  After initially being turned down, I was finally able to attend as a co-host of Daily Gun Show!  That's where the fun began.  Many days of planning, buying and testing new recording equipment, figuring out transportation and lodging, before I was finally ready.

I and TheGunSnob decided to make the trip via a rental car. That involved me driving to meet him in Claremore, OK on Friday, January 17, 2020 in the afternoon, and then after parking my car safely at a friend's house nearby, our journey began. It was roughly 18 hours on the road, taking us through Oklahoma City to the west, passing through the panhandle of Texas, parts of New Mexico and Arizona, before finally bearing northwest into Nevada and to Las Vegas. A short stop at the Grand Canyon was also in order along the way.

Once we got into Las Vegas and unpacking our car, we had to pick up a couple of friends at the airport, and then begin our planning for SHOT Show®,  Our first stop was on Monday, January 20, when we were able to go to the Sands Expo and pick up our badges for the show.  From there, onward to the Boulder City Rifle and Pistol Club for Industry Day at the Range.
